During his final years at BGS, Lachlan Avis (OB 2012) played in various bands in and outside of school.
Wasting no time when exams were over, Lachlan toured nationally and internationally, playing guitar in alternative rock band, Storm The Sky which released two albums, both debuting in the top 50 of the ARIA Charts.
In early 2019, the band announced their indefinite hiatus after one last tour around Australia, selling out every show.
Lachlan then announced his solo pop project, Lakelend. After writing and producing original music in his home studio, Lakelend teamed up with producers who have worked with artists such as Amy Shark, Illy, Hilltop Hoods and Peking Duk to create his first few releases.
The release of his debut single Fall Down then followed and the song was immediately added to multiple Spotify editorial playlists, clocking over 100,000 streams!
We look forward to watching Lachlan’s future progress.
